Uptown riddim - New Soca Riddim Released
Combination Studios releases a Brand New Soca riddim for 2010 called The Uptown Riddim with such artists as Boone Chatta from Germany and Dale Saunders and much more to come.
Ashwin Seegobin the Executive Producer with both english and Trinidian ties has put this Groovy soca Riddim together very well.

Miss Grenada UK competition
For 2010 Greenz UK & Nutmeg Promotions will be embarking upon an exciting project with the introduction of the first annual Miss Grenada UK competition, which has been developed to help build, recognise and establish young women of Grenadian parentage in the UK. The aim is to promote and highlight UK Grenadian based talent and to help the establishment of Grenadians who are making a purpose.
The event is set to be launched in April 2010 and there will be heats starting from September 2009. To enable us in our search for candidates we will be working alongside a number of up and coming events in order to peruse registrations.

Faye and Bunji’s New Arrival
Sounds Best With Soca would like to extend congratulations to Faye Ann Lyons and Bunji Garlin on their new arrival.
The baby girl arrived on Saturday 28th February. Given that fact that she is the granddaughter of Superblue, the daughter of Faye Ann and Bunji AND born in carnival week, we’d think that she is a TRUE carnival baby!

Trinidad and Tobago Road March 2009
For those who have been paying attention, you would have known that the Road March title was a fierce battle between the ladies – Faye Ann Lyons with her hit Meet Superblue that netted her the title of Power Soca Monarch last Friday; verses Destra with Bachannal.
Both songs were played many times on the road, but in the end it was Faye Ann Lyons who came out on top and has won the Road March for 2009 and in doing so has created history – the first female artist to win the Power and Groovy Soca Monarchs and Road March – all in the same year.
With the imminent arrival of her daughter, we’d say that this has been a blockbuster year for Faye Ann!
